Geography and Illinois
In this unit, students will be introduced to multiple examples of humans seeking and settling in various environments. Though specific cultures and geographies will be determined by student questions, all inquiries will be guided toward the connection between culture, need, proximity, resources, occupation, and opportunity. Additionally, as a class, we will then explore how the environment affects humans AND how humans affect their environment.
We will learn about the geographic land and water forms throughout the United States and Illinois and we will create our very own landform project out of dough, paint, and cardboard!
